I am Melanie DeCastro, Chasing Los Sueños Founder and welcome to Chasing Los Sueños!

Firstly I am a woman who loves sharing experiences and stories. Being able to travel to 14 different countries and live in two of them has changed me completely. I have been to Asia, Europe, North America, and South America at a mere 24 years old. Graduated with Bachelor’s in International Business, currently practicing a career in Teaching Spanish Pre-k through Sixth Grade. – Yes I love teaching and I hope to get accredited to be able to Teach Spanish FULL-TIME!
I have always managed to put myself first, even though as a latina it does not come as easily as it may seem. But I quickly learned that to travel the world I had to be selfish. No matter what people’s opinions were, I decided this will be my forever lifestyle.
Certainly, this lifestyle has its own set of struggles, but it is not impossible. It is why Chasing Los Sueños exists. As I create my own reality where life meets travel, I plan to share my journey and resources with you. If you want to try something new, feel your inner confidence shine or simply jet set and travel the world; kick back and hang out!

My dream has always been to travel the world. Currently, the crippling hands of adulthood is catching up to me making it harder to do that. I am on a journey to figure out just how I will make my dream become a reality. I will be sharing with you the highs and lows of what it is to follow your dreams.
